Homeless Healthcare is a not for profit charity set up to advance and promote the health of people experiencing homelessness or marginalisation. We provide the full range of services that are provided by a General Practice using the various models outlined below. These services include appropriate referrals for pathology, other investigation and specialist assessment.

We understand that some medical problems are complex and require longer consultations. We aim to spend a reasonable amount of time with you to sort out your health issues. Please be patient and respect that sometimes we need to see someone as a priority due to medical reasons. Our service bulk bills.

Practice policy on management of patient health information.

Patients of our practice have the right to access their personal health information under the Privacy Amendment (Privacy Sector) Act 2009.

Practice policy for patient communication.

To facilitate continuity of care, patients have access to Homeless Healthcare via telephone or electronic means to discuss their medical care.

Policy for patients results, reports and clinical correspondence.

All tests and results are reviewed by the requesting GP, they are then actioned as appropriate and acted on in a timely manner by the GP and incorporated into the patient health record. Our dedicated team of doctors and nurses provide healthcare services with compassion, without judgement, and at no cost to the patient.

If you require medical assistance after-hours you may contact our locum service on (08) 9321 9133 (note fees may apply) or present to one of the following after-hours clinics or Emergency Departments.
